Mother Brunner Statue Carving

In September 2008, Hurricane Ike took down a cedar tree (among many others) in the cemetery at Salem Heights. Sister Eileen Tomlinson, CPPS, carved a Mother Brunner statue out of the tree. Sr. Eileen has Mother Brunner holding a bread basket, because of her tradition with bread; she presented the statue to the community for their 175th anniversary. Photos by Sr. Noreen Jutte, CPPS.
